"When you don't need a course. You need an hour."

Wherever you are with private practice, sometimes you just need an hour with someone who gets it.

Private practice looks different for everyone in this community.

Some of you are still deciding, weighing it up, trying to work out if now is the right time and whether the numbers will actually work.

Some of you have just started you're in it, but you're not yet sure you're doing it right. The referrals feel slow, the admin feels heavy, and some days you wonder what you've walked into.

Some of you have been in practice for a while and something has shifted. You're feeling stuck, or flat, or like the practice you've built isn't quite the one you intended. You're not sure if you need to change something, or just get a clearer view of where you are.

And some of you are ready to move forward to grow, to raise your fee, to change your model, to finally sort the things you've been putting off.

A Clarity Call is one hour to look at your specific situation honestly and leave with a clear picture of what to do next.

What is a Private Practice Clarity Call?

A focused, one-to-one hour with me built entirely around where you are right now.

Not generic advice. Not a course overview. Your situation, your questions, your next step.

Testimonial - Working with Sarah helped me move from feeling overwhelmed and unsure about my private practice to having a clear, practical plan. Her support is warm, honest, clear, I felt much more confident about building a practice that feels sustainable and aligned with my values.

What's included

Before the call You'll complete a short pre-session form so we can use the hour well. It covers your current situation, what you're finding hard, what you want to get clearer on, and what a good outcome looks like for you.

The call — 60 minutes We work through what's actually going on. Whether that's the decision itself, the finances, the referrals, the fee, the model, the sustainability, or simply the feeling that something isn't quite right but you can't name what it is.

I'll be direct with you. I won't tell you things are fine if they're not, and I won't overcomplicate what's actually straightforward. Most of the time, the fog clears faster than people expect.

After the call — your written summary Within a few days I'll send you a concise written summary of your key next steps, in order, tailored to where you are. Something practical you can actually work from.

Testimonial - Sarah has a way of making the business side of private practice feel much less daunting. She helped me think clearly about my niche, fees, marketing and next steps, while also keeping my wellbeing and clinical work at the centre. I came away feeling more focused, encouraged and ready to grow.

A Clarity Call might be right for you if…

— You're considering private practice and you want to think it through properly before committing

— You've just started and you want someone to look at what you've set up and tell you honestly what's working and what needs attention

— Your referrals are inconsistent and you're not sure how to fix that

— You feel like you're running to stand still and you can't see clearly what needs to change

— You've been in practice a while but something feels off — with the model, the income, the sustainability, or your sense of direction

— You want to raise your fee, change your hours, or shift your client group and you're not sure how to do it without disrupting what you've built

— You just want an honest hour with someone who has been in practice for 15 years and will give you a straight answer

Testimonial - Before working with Sarah, my income felt really up and down and I didn’t have a clear plan. Sarah helped me get focused on what actually mattered, and once I started doing the things she suggested consistently, I began reaching £5K months. Her support was practical, encouraging and exactly what I needed to stop overthinking and start taking action.

About Sarah

I've been a CBT therapist in fully self-funded private practice for 15 years. I started alongside NHS work and made the full transition gradually I know what it feels like at every stage of this.

I'm the author of A Therapist's Guide to Private Practice: Building a Values-Based Business (Routledge), a CFT supervisor, and the founder of Therapists Corner — a community built on the belief that therapists should be in charge of their own practices, on their own terms.

I work with therapists at every stage — from the first decision all the way through to reviewing and rebuilding an established practice. Wherever you are, I'll give you a straight answer.

A note on what this isn't

This isn't a discovery call for a programme. It's a standalone piece of work. If further support a course, a resource, the community turns out to be a useful next step for you, we'll talk about it. But the purpose of this hour is simply to get you clear on your situation.

Some people leave with a plan to start. Some leave knowing what needs to change in a practice they've already built. Some leave with a list of three things to do this month.

All of those are good outcomes.
